Crusades
On September 11, 2001 the twin towers got blown up. Bush said in September 16, 2001 “this was the time of the crusades because this was a bad time for the United States”. This was bad because this was how people were called when they were discriminated.
In September 11 the world trade center were hit by two airplanes. The people who blew the twin towers up were terrorist from Iraq. Now the United States army is fighting in war with Iraq many people from the United States and Iraq have died. It is a bad idea to compare current wars to crusades because some people feel discriminated when they talk about this. The people who fought in the crusades were Christians and Muslims. The war on terror is supposed to be against Osama bin lade and other terrorist. In history the crusades were against all Muslims now you will see how a bad idea to call current wars crusades is.

During the ancient Rome there used to be gladiator’s bloody fights to distract people from problems. Now in days they are also distraction and entertainment in TV, they show programs that people get hurt like wrestling. People have not change since the time of ancient Rome they still enjoy people getting hurt or killed. During the Gladiator’s people had to fight for 3 years and if they survive they get their freedom, but now in days they do it to win money. Boxers get hurt but they win money, but back then they fought to get freedom.

Athens vs. Sparta
Athens and Sparta were very different. Sparta cared about the military. All the kids had to go to the military to train at the age of seven. They didn’t care a lot about education unlike Athens; Athens thought education was the most important thing. Their government was called Oligarchy. Athens and Sparta went to war and after that long war Sparta was the winner.
